Three business leaders scheduled to give talks at 糖心logo入口
Philip Jefferson, vice chair of the Federal Reserve Bank’s Board of Governors, will be among three speakers at a series of business-focused presentations at 糖心logo入口.
As the second-highest ranking official in the U.S. central banking system and a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), Jefferson plays an important role in the Federal Reserve’s progress toward its dual mandate of maximum employment and stable prices.
Jefferson’s event is April 7 beginning with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the College of Business Administration’s Charlton Center for Responsible Investing, a program designed to increase the number of people of color and women in the investment industry. The event is free, but is required.

Friday, March 20, 5:30 p.m., Student Union Fountain Lounge — As the keynote event for Alumni Week, Hakim Berry, former chief operating officer for the City of Detroit, will share his perspective on “The Renaissance of Detroit.” .
Friday, March 27, 11 a.m., Student Union Ballroom — Global business leader Paul Polman will present “The Case for Net Positive Leadership.” Polman is former CEO of Unilever and co-author of Net Positive: How Courageous Companies Thrive by Giving More Than They Take. He is described by the Financial Times as “a standout CEO of the past decade.” .
